Correction to: Biology and Fertility of Soils
The article “Sorgoleone release from sorghum roots shapes the composition of nitrifying populations, total bacteria, and archaea and determines the level of nitrification”, written by Papa Saliou Sarr, Yasuo Ando, Satoshi Nakamura, Santosh Deshpande and Guntur Venkata Subbarao, was originally published electronically on the publisher’s internet portal on 22 October 2019 without open access.
With the author(s)’ decision to opt for Open Choice the copyright of the article changed on December 2019 to © The Author(s) 2019 and the article is forthwith distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0/), which permits use, sharing, adaptation, distribution and reproduction in any medium or format, as long as you give appropriate credit to the original author(s) and the source, provide a link to the Creative Commons licence, and indicate if changes were made.
The original article has been corrected.
The authors wanted to emphasize the below changes in the Results section:
The Supplementary material Table S1 was presented the same with the Table 4 and should have been deleted thus in Results at "Chemical properties of soil" section, "Table S1" citation should be replaced by "Table 4" citation. Also, in "Relationships between soil properties and ammonia oxidizer abundance" section, "Table 4" citation at the beginning of the text should be replaced by "Table 5" citation. Lastly, "16S rRNA V4 sequence data" section, Table S2 should become Table S1 since the former Table S1 should be read as Table 4 and “Table S3” will become “Table S2” due to the above change. The unit of PNR in Fig. 1 should be read as nmol g-1 dry soil h-1”. Here, the “per hour (h-1)” was not included in the unit in the original text. The original article remained unchanged.
