Hans Reichenbach 1915/1916. Nach der Ausbildung zum Flieger-Funker 1915 wurde Reichenbach 1916 infolge einer Lungenentzündung von der Ostfront in die Fliegerabteilung Döberitz (bei Berlin) zurückgeschickt. Dort war er verantwortlich für die technische Ausbildung der Funker.

Otto Neurath im Gespräch mit dem Verleger Eugen Diederichs während der zweiten Kulturtagung auf Burg Lauenstein, 29. September bis 3. Oktober 1917. Zusammen mit drei weiteren lebensreformerischen Kulturbünden hatte Diederichs ca. 70 Professoren, Intellektuelle, Künstler, Politiker und Praktiker sowie Vertreter der Jugendbewegung zur Aussprache über „Das Führerproblem im Staate und in der Kultur“ eingeladen. Unter den Gästen waren Max und Marianne Weber, Gertrud Bäumer, Karl Bröger, Richard und Ida Dehmel, Paul und Else Ernst, Max und Hulda Maurenbrecher, Theodor Heuss, Knud Ahlborn, Wolfgang Schumann, Ernst Toller, Ferdinand Tönnies, Werner Sombart und Edgar Jaffé. Neurath hielt einen Vortrag über „Die zukünftige Lebensordnung und ihre Wirtschaftlichkeit.“
