Oman is an Arab state in southwest Asia on the southeast coast of the Arabian Peninsula. It is bordered by the United Arab Emirates to the northwest, Saudi Arabia to the west, and Yemen to the southwest. It covers 309.5 thousand of square kilometers and has a population of 2.85 million. Its GDP reaches $7.78 billion in 2011. Through the index system and evaluation model, the environment competitiveness index of Oman ranks at 103 in 133 countries.
