Philippines is a country in western South America. It is bordered on the north by Ecuador and Colombia, on the east by Brazil, on the southeast by Bolivia, on the south by Chile, and on the west by the Pacific Ocean. It covers 298.2 thousand of square kilometers and has a population of 94.85 million. Its GDP reaches $224.75 billion in 2011. Through the index system and evaluation model, the environment competitiveness index of Philippine ranks at 29 in 133 countries.
