Abstract
Russia is the largest country in the world, its total area is 1,6376.9 thousand square kilometers. From northwest to southeast, Russia shares borders with 14 countries. The enormous size of Russia and the remoteness of many areas from the sea result in the dominance of the humid continental climate and Russia has a wide natural resource base. It covers 1,6376.9 thousand of square kilometers and has a population of 142.96 million. Its GDP reaches $1,857.77billion in 2011. Through the index system and evaluation model, the environment competitiveness index of Russia ranks at 81 in 133 countries.
