Big Data, Cloud-Computing, das Internet und Dinge und Blockchain sind Trends, die die technologischen Grundlagen für die digitale Transformation darstellen und sie entscheidend mitbestimmen. Ihre Anwendungsfälle erstrecken sich über verschiedene Industriezweige und Fachabteilungen. Bei allen Vorteilen, die digitale Technologien mit sich bringen, stellen sie aber auch erhebliche Herausforderungen an Unternehmen. Insbesondere erfordert der Einsatz neuer Technologien die Vernetzung verschiedenster Fachabteilungen und die Entwicklung neuer Kompetenzen bei Führungskräften und Mitarbeitern.
