Abstract
An analysis of the different advantages of the non-destructive tests lead to organize a campaign of tests with a repartition between static and dynamic tests to obtain a representative result of the contention walls.

Static testing requires the use of heavy equipment that is difficult to handle at height.
Performing static tests also means running the risk of breaking the tie rod, especially in the case of old anchoring.
The installation of test and measurement equipment is difficult and time consuming, especially when the test is performed at height.
In the end, these tests are expensive and their number is very limited.
For non-destructive testing, the equipment is light and allows access at height. The test itself is of short duration.
Under these conditions, it is economically wise to limit static tests and to increase the number of non-destructive tests to improve the representativeness of the diagnosis on a tensioned wall (Fig. 10.1).
