Zusammenfassung
Mit zunehmendem Alter spielt die Aufrechterhaltung einer guten Gesundheit nicht nur für das Wohlbefinden oder für persönliche Aktivitäten (vgl. Kapitel 11 und 17) eine bedeutende Rolle, sondern auch für die gesellschaftliche Teilhabe, wie das ehrenamtliche Engagement oder die Erwerbstätigkeit (vgl. Kapitel 3 und 5). Gute Gesundheit umfasst dabei nicht nur die Abwesenheit von Krankheit sondern mehrere Dimensionen.
